What are dental implants?
A dental implant is a small titanium post placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root, onto which a crown, bridge or denture can be fitted.
We use Megagen implants and Straumann dental implants, to replace a single tooth, several teeth, or support a full arch via all-on-4 implant treatment. Where the jawbone needs extra support, bone grafting is carried out as part of the process.

We can often place an implant immediately after removing a tooth, or wait up to 3 months for the area to heal. If you need extra support, we may recommend a bone graft before fitting the final crown.
Implant bridge
If you have several missing teeth, we can support a bridge with multiple implants rather than replacing every tooth individually. We typically use 6–8 implants to support a full lower arch, while the upper jaw may require more.
Same-day teeth
n suitable cases, we can remove failing teeth, place implants and attach a temporary fixed bridge in one appointment. You leave with a fixed, functional smile while your implants heal. We then fit your permanent restoration, often using just 4–6 implants to support a full arch.
Full arch implants
We can restore a full arch using several implants placed throughout the upper or lower jaw. We then allow 2–4 months for the implants to fuse with the bone before fitting your permanent restoration. You may need bone grafting or sinus augmentation to create a stable foundation.

If several teeth are missing, failing or causing ongoing problems, it may be possible to have them removed, your implants placed and a temporary bridge fitted all in one visit, known as Same-Day Teeth.
Just 4 to 6 implants, planned by Aziz Ghanim Aziz and Robbie Thompson using detailed CBCT 3D scanning, can support a full set of replacement teeth in the upper or lower jaw. You'll leave your appointment with a fixed, functional smile, before moving on to your final, permanent restoration once healing is complete.
