How does Botox work?
Botox is injected into the facial muscles to reduce muscle activity and movement which prevents creasing of this skin which, in-turn, reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Botox results in a smoother, more youthful appearance. Botox is useful as a preventative treatment as if it is used before lines develop then wrinkles in the skin do not develop.
