Summary
The Bath Spa Dentistry Implantology Year Programme is aimed at practitioners with little or no experience and is particularly appropriate for participants wanting to progress to Diploma or MSc courses.
It is also suitable for practitioners who have been placing implants who want to learn about best practice techniques and the principles of implant dentistry. Participants learn through associated lectures, treatment planning cases, practical demonstrations and live surgical procedures as well as patient management.
Delegates are encouraged to bring along their own patient cases for discussion throughout the course.
Educational Outcomes
Participants are brought through from initial treatment planning stages to be able to place and restore dental implants in a variety of situations with a high degree of confidence of success.

Introduction to implants; Anatomy; Treatment planning; Hygiene and equipment; Implant prosthetics; Impression techniques, procedures and materials; Immediate placement and loading; Prosthodontics; Bone grafting; Predictable healing and aesthetics; Splinting; Problem solving and failures.
Additional Information
Viewing of live surgical procedures, hands on workshops, supporting documentation, handouts and refreshments including lunch are all provided as part of the course fees.
Course Dates
The Implantology Year Programme takes place over 8 one day units, spread across a 12 month period and delegates are expected to make their own travel and accomodation bookings if travelling further afield. Each day starts at 09:00 and finishes at 17:30.
Fees
The entire course (which includes all the one day units, lecture notes, supporting documentation, refreshments and lunch) costs £5,500 per person. Payable in advance.
